Garioch Sports Trust
The Trust was originally formed in 1990 by four local people, interested in developing sport in the Garioch area. Plans were drawn up and with fund raising assisted by the local council, the national lottery and the help of other like minded individuals the dream progressed. The first facilities to be completed were the Astroturf Pitch and quarter running track which were officially opened by HRH Prince of Wales in April 1994.
The Trust is not a private concern nor is it a council run facility. It is run for the community by a body of elected persons who have a general interest in providing these facilities. None of the committee are renumerated for their efforts and all of their time is given voluntarily for no financial gain. if you are interested in finding out more about the Inverurie Sports Development Programme please go to http://www.isdp.org.uk |

Garioch Sports Centre is the trading name of Garioch Sports Limited, a company set up by Garioch Sports Trust to manage the facilities here at Strathburn Park.
Further plans were developed and this culminated in the completion of the sports centre in November 1996. The facilities at the Garioch Sports Centre are comparable to any sports centre in the North East of Scotland. Our philosophy is to provide facilities for the good of the community within the Garioch area.
